MORALLY
Today’s Scripture: James 1:21 [GWT] “So get rid of all immoral behavior and all the wicked things you do. Humbly accept the word that God has placed in you.”
Morality. This is a word that we do not hear about as often as we used to. The Word of God has a lot to say about living a moral life and conducting our life with principles of right versus wrong behavior. Living a moral life is not the same thing as living a boring life. Sin always brings guilt and condemnation. Morals give us boundaries to live the life God intended for us without guilt and condemnation. Morals are a “rudder” in the life of a believer. Morals help to navigate and direct our decisions, our words, and our actions for not only ourselves, but for every person we encounter. Our present society frowns upon biblical morality. Being a moral person is living by values and a code of conduct that is not only beneficial for you, but for all people. Be moral.

Scripture
James 3:2 [VOICE] “We all stumble along the way. If a person never speaks hurtful words or shouts in anger or profanity, then he has achieved perfection. The one who can control his tongue can also control the rest of his body.”
Confession: Holy Spirit, help me to control my tongue so that I can speak and do the rights things. My desire is to live a moral life, pleasing unto God.
Galatians 5:17 [VOICE] “For everything the flesh desires goes against the Spirit, and everything the Spirit desires goes against the flesh. There is a constant battle raging between them that prevents you from doing the good you want to do.”
Confession: Holy Spirit, help me to live a moral life. I want and desire to always do good. Help me to desire the things of the Spirit and not the things of my flesh. Help me to daily crucify my flesh and make the right decisions where morality is concerned.
Mark 7:20-23 [GNT] And He went on to say, “It is what comes out of you that makes you unclean. 21 For from the inside, from your heart, come the evil ideas which lead you to do immoral things, to rob, kill, 22 commit adultery, be greedy, and do all sorts of evil things; deceit, indecency, jealousy, slander, pride, and folly — 23 all these evil things come from inside you and make you unclean.”
Confession: I declare and confess that I will not live an immoral life. I will not be led by my flesh. I will confess my sin and be in righteous standing with my God and my Lord. I will not do the evil that comes from inside me. I am a son/daughter of God, and I am led by the Spirit of God in all I say and do.

Prayer
Father, forgive me for when I have been immoral and have committed acts of immorality. The war that is in me between my flesh and Your Spirit, I never want my flesh to win. Help me to be a moral man/woman of God. Help me to live within the Kingdom boundaries of Your Word and Your Will for my life. I want to live a righteous life in Christ. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
