EMOTIONALLY
Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 29:15 [GWT] “A fool expresses all his emotions, but a wise person controls them.”
Are you an emotional person? Do you sometimes act and react out of your emotions? Our emotions are from the Lord, so emotions are something that was meant to be a part of us, to be expressed. But our emotions were never meant to be in charge of our decisions and our life. Everyone has had a moment or two when their emotions got the best of them. Most people have allowed their emotions to ultimately help in making bad decisions. God calls us to live our life and to make decisions with wisdom, knowledge, facts, wise counsel, and prayer. Being emotional is not a sin, but acting on them could cause us to sin. God has something new for you where your emotions are concerned. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you better control and still express your emotions. Be wise.

Scripture
2 Timothy 1:7 [NLT] “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
[GWT] “God didn't give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love, and good judgment.”
Confession: I am a person that embodies the fruit of self-discipline and good judgment. I will not live my life and make decisions based on my feelings alone. I am thankful for the love of God working in my life and for learning how to better control my emotions.
Proverbs 25:28 [ETRV] “People who cannot control themselves are like cities without walls to protect them.”
Confession: I will not be like a city without walls. I will not allow my emotions to uncover me and leave me defenseless. I have “walls” that protect me from operating emotionally. My walls are prayer, God’s Word, the Lordship of Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 4:13 [TLB] “For I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power.”
Confession: I am able to control my emotions because of Jesus in my life. I will not make decisions based solely on my feelings. I can and I will be a good steward of my emotions.

Prayer
Father, thank You for the ability to feel so much of life through my emotions. I ask that You help me to use my emotions for the benefit of myself as well as others in my life. Help me to control any urges that would cause harm to me or to others. I am believing You will give me wisdom in all situations and circumstances and allow my emotions to be an asset in living for You and Your Kingdom. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
