VOCATION
Today’s Scripture: Genesis 2:15 [NIV] “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”
This verse reveals that work was part of God’s plan for humanity from the beginning. It highlights the importance of stewardship and responsibility in our work. As Christians, we should view our jobs as opportunities to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives, using our skills and talents to honor Him and serve others. What are you expecting from your job in 2025? What are your employers expecting from you as an employee? Are you believing for a new beginning where your employment is concerned? Are you praying for a new job, a new position, a raise in pay, or something else concerning your employment status? God sees how we work, how we treat our coworkers, and if we give our best to the company we work for. Give your best according to your job description and always do more than is asked of you. Remember, God always rewards obedience.

Scripture
Proverbs 13:4 [NLT] “Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper.”
Confession: I will not be lazy; I will be diligent. I know that hard work and perseverance lead to satisfaction and success, while laziness leads to lack in my life. I will be diligent when I work. I will give my best effort and display a strong work ethic that brings glory to God.
Colossians 3:23-24 [AMP] “Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, 24 Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).”
Confession: My ultimate motivation in work is to please You, Lord, rather than seeking the approval of people. I will approach my job with wholehearted dedication and a heavenly perspective. I will work diligently and with excellence. I will demonstrate faithfulness to my God, and I will open my life to His blessings and rewards.
Proverbs 14:23 [NIV] “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.”
Confession: I know that there is a big and clear distinction between the fruit of hard work and the fruitlessness of mere words. When I work, I will be a person of action rather than empty talk. I will be productive and purposeful in my work. I know that my efforts will lead to positive outcomes and prosperity.

Prayer
Father, forgive me of where I have been lazy in my work. If my work ethic has not caused glory to be given to Your Name, I ask for Your mercy and grace to be extended to me. I will be a hard worker. I will produce more this year than in any previous year. I will be diligent, motivated, faithful, purposeful, and I will give my best effort at work. I am believing for blessing and prosperity. I will fulfill my Kingdom purpose in my work. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
