WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10th
Praying for COVENANT LIFE CHURCH in the New Year.
1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 27 [NLT] “The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So, it is with the body of Christ. 13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. 14 Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 27 All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it.”
THOUGHT for TODAY:
Covenant Life Church is a young church, 22 months old, with a bright future. If CLC is your home church, we are glad you chose us. CLC is part of a much bigger body than just our single congregation. We/CLC are a part of the glorious Church of God, the Body of Christ, THE…CHURCH! You are a part of CLC. You make a difference. You have unique gifts and talents that God has placed inside of you. All the people who attend our church make our “body” different from other church “bodies.” It’s the people within CLC that make it distinctive and different from other churches. You are very important in helping us establish the identity of our church. We are one as the Body of Jesus Christ.
Scripture
Ephesians 4:11-12 [NLT] “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”
Prayer
Father, thank You for Covenant Life Church. I pray for CLC to become the church You have destined it to be. May our church always reflect Your heart for those who know You and those who are lost and without You. I pray that our church equips Your people, the saints, to do Your work and build up the church, the body of Christ. May people from all walks of life and backgrounds be drawn to CLC. I speak over my church to be biblically grounded in all it does, endeavors to do, and in the preaching and teaching of Your Word. I ask for Your strength and blessing in the name of Jesus, amen!
What to pray

Pray for people to be saved/born again and to re-dedicate their lives to Christ.

Pray for hundreds of people to follow Jesus’ example and be watered baptized.

Pray for growth: spiritually, numerically, financially, relationally

Pray that CLC will have influence in the lives of people who join, attend, and visit our church. May God grant our church influence within our city, region, state, and nation.

Pray for a church building/complex that meets and exceeds what is needed for sustained and future growth in the years to come.
