TUESDAY, JANUARY 9th
Praying for The CHURCH in the New Year.
Ephesians 1:22-23 ]AMP] “And He (God) has put all things under His (Jesus’) feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], [Ps 8:6.] 23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].”
THOUGHT for TODAY:
The CHURCH, the Body of Christ, is the only answer to our world. The CHURCH is the CHURCH when it truly exists for others, when it is making disciples and not converts. The CHURCH is worldwide. It spans the globe without boarders or markings of territory. The CHURCH is Jesus’ representative body on our planet. Wherever the CHURCH is present, so also is the presence of Jesus. The CHURCH is more than a building, more than a denomination, more than single gatherings of people on a Sunday. The CHURCH is Christ’s representative in the physical realm ministering the power of God to all mankind.
Scripture
Romans 12:4-5 [NLT] “Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.”
Prayer
Father, I pray for the CHURCH, the Body of Christ, in the world. I pray for those who suffer persecution and threat of death because of their faith in Jesus. Protect them and continue to give them a voice that speaks of hope, faith, forgiveness, redemption, and love. May Your CHURCH expand and may the Kingdom of God be advanced into areas of darkness that need the light of Jesus. Let the CHURCH experience a revival and a renewal that is unparalleled to past movements in our history. May Your CHURCH see multiplied millions of people saved, healed, and set free by the power of Your Word. I pray for all creation to see the glorious and bright light of the CHURCH as we draw closer to the coming of Your Son. I ask for Your strength and blessing in the name of Jesus, amen!
What to pray

Pray for the CHURCH to be nothing like the world. May there be a godly distinction between light and darkness.

Pray that the CHURCH would once again be influential and impact the culture in all the nations of our world. Pray for national leaders to be saved by the blood of Jesus.

Pray for Christians, all around the world, to have supernatural strength and peace when enduring pressure to renounce their faith in Christ.

Declare God’s Kingdom to manifest on the earth through the CHURCH.

Pray for unity to undergird and give strength to those who lead Jesus’ CHURCH.
