SOCIALLY
Today’s Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 [NLT] “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.”
When was the last time you did something for the first time? When was the last time you reached out to build a new relationship with someone? Have you made any new friendships lately? Do you have a lot of friends or just a few? Are your friends close to you and are you close to them? God created humans to be relational. God may have someone new for you to become friends with not because you need a new friend, but that person needs you. An anonymous quote, “True friends aren’t the ones who make your problems disappear. They are the one who won’t disappear when you’re facing problems.” I believe God may have that type of friend for you in 2025.

Scripture
Romans 12:10 [TLB] “Love each other with brotherly affection and take delight in honoring each other.”
Confession: I will love all my friends with brotherly affection. I will make it my goal to take delight in honoring my friends above myself. I will treat my friends the way I would want my friends to treat me. I value my friends.
1 Corinthians 15:33 [AMP] “Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.”
Confession: I will not be deceived or misled. I will choose my friends wisely. I will not associate with people who would corrupt my values and cause me to act unkindly to others. I will not allow others to sully and destroy my morals and character.
Proverbs 27:17 [NLT] “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”
Confession: I am, and I will be a friend that sharpens and makes my friends better individuals. I will be a benefit in their life. I also will allow my friends to sharpen me. I need my friends’ input in my life. As scripture states, “You can trust a friend who corrects you.” May I be a better person because of my friends.

Prayer
Father, thank You for giving me such a vibrant community of friends to do life with. I praise You for the people You have blessed me with, the ones who have come alongside me to love, encourage, support, and uplift me through all the twists and turns of life. I'm so grateful that I do not have to go through life alone, but that You have shown me examples of Your love through my dear friends. I pray that You would be present in my current friendships as well as in new ones to come, and that You would draw us together in deeper community with one another toward greater unity with You. I pray that You would help heal any places of brokenness or discord in my friendships, and that You would restore any friendships that have fallen apart. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
