Message
Praying for BIBLICAL CORRECTNESS in the New Year.
John 17:17 [AMP] “Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.”
THOUGHT for TODAY:
As we live our lives, we are bombarded by ideas, agendas, movements, and groups of all sorts. As Christians, we need to be proactive in letting the Word of God/scripture work as a “filter” in our lives. This filter, the Bible, should always be used first in our lives. No exceptions. Using the Bible, first, as a filter means for us to do what the Holy Scriptures tell us to do. We are not to be moved, first, by society, or politically, and not according to ethnicity, color, or our gender. God’s Word is our spirit man’s “filtration system” keeping our hearts and minds pure and unsullied by the world’s thinking. No matter what is happening in your life, always use the Biblical filter, God’s Word, first.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 [VOICE] “Take a close look at everything, test it, then cling to what is good. 22 Put away every form of evil.”
Romans 12:2 [AMP] “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”
Hebrews 4:12 [AMP] “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.”
Prayer
Father, thank You for Your Word. I want and need the Bible to be the first “filter” in my life that everything passes through. I want everything that impacts and confronts my life to pass through the Word of God, first, to see if it lines up with the statutes, precepts, concepts, and commandments of Your Word. I declare in the name of Jesus that the Bible protects me because it is like a “strainer” for my soul, emotions, thoughts, and what I meditate on. Nothing can come into or impact my life without first coming through the Biblical filter that is in my life. I am a disciple of Jesus, I am a Christian, and the Word of God is my filter for all things. I ask for Your strength and blessing in the name of Jesus, amen!
What to pray

Pray for God’s Word to impact your life everyday concerning everything you will face for the day, week, month, and year.

Jesus said that God’s Word is Truth. Declare the truth of God’s Word over your life.

Pray that the Bible becomes the first filter that everything passes through, including your own thoughts, other people’s ideas, society suggestions, and our culture’s toxicity.

Confess that you have the mind of Christ, and that wisdom is supreme. God’s Word has first place in your life.

Stand against conforming to the world customs and thinking. Daily renew your mind with scripture.
