NECESSARY ENDINGS
Today’s Scripture: Philippians 3:13-14 [NLT] “I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”
“The tomorrow that you desire and envision may never come to pass if you do not end some things you are doing today.” [Dr. Henry Cloud] For some people, that is clear and easy to execute. For others, it is more difficult. Endings are a natural part of life. Life has seasons, stages, and phases. For there to be anything new, old things always have to end, and we have to let go of them. Without the ability to end things, people stay stuck. What is it in your life that needs to come to an end? Relationships? Behaviors and destructive patterns? Your present job? How you see yourself? Don’t let fear keep you from doing what needs to be done so you can become the person God intended you to be and do what He intended you to do and accomplish. Let go of the old and embrace A NEW BEGINNING!

Scripture
Proverbs 23:18 [MEV] “For surely there is an end, and your expectation will not be cut off.”
Confession: I realize that there are some things in my life that need to come to an end. I will face my fears, with the help of the Holy Spirit, and I will bring these things to closure. For the “new beginning” to come there must be an ending to some of the old. I can do this in the Name of Jesus.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 6 [NLT] “For everything there is a season, 6 A time to keep and a time to throw away.”
Confession: I know that for everything in life there is both a reason and a season. I will intently listen for the voice of the Lord to know what to “keep” and what to “throw away.” Jesus, thank You for giving me boldness and clarity for this task in my life. I can do this in the Name of Jesus.
Philippians 1:6 [TLB] “And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in His grace until His task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.”
Confession: There is a good work that is taking place inside of me. I do not want anything or anyone to keep this from happening. So, I will make the hard decision to bring to an end whatever it is in my life that would delay this from happening. I can do this in the Name of Jesus.

Prayer
Father, forgive me for holding onto things, relationships, habits, and behaviors that are undermining Your will for my life. I ask for strength and courage to do what I need to do to bring these things in my life to a necessary ending. I ask for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me for when and how I should do this. In the Name of Jesus I pray, amen.
