MONDAY, JANUARY 15th

Praying for the UNITED STATES of AMERICA in the New Year.

Psalm 33:12 [PASS] “Blessed and prosperous is the nation who has God as their Lord! They will be the people He has chosen for His own.”

THOUGHT for TODAY:

The United States of America is 246 years old. Our nation has always been blessed because of the founding principles, ideas, and laws that have scripture as their foundation. It would seem that our nation is at a crossroad concerning that foundation. We are charged, as Christians, to pray and intercede for our nation, our government leaders, and for the citizens. God’s hand has been upon the USA, guiding and blessing, for almost 250 years. May He continue to bless, protect, and guide this nation and may Christians continue to intercede and undergird the USA with our support and our prayers. God bless the United States of America!

Proverbs 14:34 [NIV] “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”

1 Timothy 2:1-4 [NLT] “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Prayer

Father, Your Word has been the guiding principle of the USA for 246 years. I ask that You continue to guide, prosper, correct, intervene, and direct this nation by Your hand and Your will. Speak to our government leaders in dreams and visions. I pray for Washington, D.C., to experience a revival and a renewed passion to follow Your Word in all transactions and decisions. Expose darkness that has been hidden and let the light of Your Word continue to illuminate justice and righteousness for all our citizens. We ask You to forgive us of all national sins that have broken the commandments of Your Holy Word. Be with us as a nation, oh God, for we cannot survive without You. I ask for Your strength and blessing in the name of Jesus, amen!

What to pray

Pray for local, state, and national government leaders. Ask God to intervene in their personal lives concerning truth, justice, righteousness, and where sin is concerned.
Pray that the Word of God will continue to be the guiding principle of all decisions of our government leaders and elected officials.
Intercede for our nation to be the light to other nations of the world. Pray for favor where our nation is concerned on a global level.
Ask the Lord to give you wisdom as you pray for the USA. Pray diligently for righteousness and justice to prevail.
Always speak well of our government, our local-state-national representatives, and of nation. You will reap what you sow.
