Message
FRIDAY, JANUARY 12th
Praying for the MINISTRIES of Covenant Life Church in the New Year.
1 Corinthians 3:5-7 [VOICE] “So, who is Apollos really? Or Paul for that matter? We are only servants, agents who led you to faith, and the Lord commissioned each of us to do a particular job. 6 My job was to plant the seed, and Apollos was called to water it. Any growth comes from God, 7 so the ones who water and plant have nothing to brag about. God, who causes the growth, is the only One who matters.”
THOUGHT for TODAY:
Every growing and thriving church has ministries that are rooted and grounded in scripture and at the same time capture the hearts of people in a variety of ways. In a church some people sow, some people water. Growth comes because of God. When the church is healthy one of the main indicators of that health is ministries that are meeting the needs of its people and people using their gifts to help meet those needs. There are ministries within the church (ministering to the flock), ministries outside of the church (to the community/regional), and ministries that touch people outside of our state and nation (global impact). God calls us, Covenant Life Church, to have all three.

Colossians 4:17 [PASS] Be sure you give Archippus this message: “Be faithful to complete the ministry you received from our Lord Jesus.”
Prayer
Father, we are so blessed to have all the ministries we enjoy at Covenant Life Church. I bless the different ministries of CLC: Ushers, Greeters, Parking Lot, Safety, Kids, Students, Café, Worship, Guest Services, Prayer, Media, and Covenant Life Bags (local outreach). I also thank You for the new ministries we will start in 2024: LIFE Groups, Discipleship Classes, Partnership Class, and a new building for Covenant Life to have all the existing and new ministries to meet the needs of our people and our community. May the ministries of our church be fruitful, uplifting, and accomplish what they are supposed to do…expanding the Kingdom of God! I ask for Your strength and blessing in the name of Jesus, amen!

Pray for existing ministries to grow and attract new people.

Pray for the new ministries to create momentum in our church and see new people becoming engaged in the different ministries.

Pray for more people to serve in all the ministries of CLC.

If you serve in a ministry, recruit, and ask others to join the team you are on.

Pray for people who call CLC “home,” to work, serve, pray, lead, and sacrifice for all the ministries to be impactful in the lives of others.
